Expected performance gains at each port are summarized below. Detailed performance estimates will be posted as the conceptual design matures.

Cassegrain (GLAO). Ground-layer AO over ~12′ fields for MOSFIRE and LRIS-2 is expected to deliver ~2× better spatial resolution and ~1.5-3× better sensitivity. A cited GLAO benefit for MOSFIRE is spectral resolution to R~9,000.

Left Nasmyth. Over ~20″ fields for OSIRIS and Liger, STRATA is expected to deliver ~2× better spatial resolution and ~3× better image quality.

Right Nasmyth. For sky-limited observations with ZShooter, STRATA is expected to provide a 3–8× speed increase.
